Kayza lives and works in Kjipuktuk (Halifax). Their practice includes painting, textiles, sculpture and virtual reality.

As a Black/biracial and transgender visual artist, Kayza's current work is inspired by narratives of psychological shadows,

often resulting in the invasion of the fantasy world into mundane settings.
